Carrie Underwood’s Cute Son Isaiah Makes Rare Public Appearance To Celebrate Dad’s Long Career

It’s a longstanding tradition in the NHL to honor players after they’ve played their 1,000th game. Carrie Underwood’s husband, Mike Fisher, recently earned this noteworthy commendation.

Though the ceremony took place a couple weeks after his official 1,000th game, it didn’t make the night any less special. Fisher, who plays for the Nashville Predators, was honored in a pregame ceremony where he was presented with a silver hockey stick, a crystal, and a framed collage of photos from his career.

This isn’t a milemarker that many NHL players reach, Fisher has been part of the league for over 16 years, and joins just 300 other players in the league’s history to reach 1,000 games. Only 25 active players currently hold that title, and only 3 other Nashville Predators have made it that far.

Carrie Underwood came along to celebrate, and she brought their son Isaac, as well as fisher’s parents. The whole family strode onto the ice and accompanied Fisher while he received his gifts and accolades.

During the ceremony, they played a video highlighting his career. Several country music stars lent their songs as a soundtrack, including Luke Bryan, Vince Gill, and others. Of course, Carrie Underwood contributed, with her music as backdrop to the opening portion of the film.

Watch the ceremony video below. Fisher’s son makes a rare, and charming, public appearance! What did you think? Leave us a comment, we’d love to hear from you!
