According to various reports a new type of crime trend has been rising lately. Robbers began to steal women’s purses from their cars at gas stations. They have been called “sliders” as they parked their car next to yours at a gas pump and then steal your goods by sliding through the passenger side door. Then theses attackers just speed off right before you can even notice something strange.
Houston Police Department Officer Jim Wood reports that most victims don’t realize they have been robbed until after the slider has already escaped. Some criminals are apprehended, but most of them are never caught. This makes women an easy target for such type of crimes in the future.
