When Penelope the dog was found, most vets would have put her down because of the horrible state she was. Penelope was a “homeless” dog that spent most of its life wandering around the streets of Los Angeles. And everyone was afraid of her due to her mangy appearance.
Until, one day when someone came by and picked her up. And thanks to a special foundation started by actress Katherine Heigl, this dog was taken to a shelter to try and save her.
What happened over the coming months was a huge miracle and a shock to all the workers. Penelope started to recover and gain back all he energy. And before anyone knew it, she was a changed dog, one that was ready to live life to the fullest.
