It’s hard to bring ourselves to think about it, but animal abuse and neglect is a very real and troubling problem in our world. These are very serious cases that need to be talked about and dealt with, and it is so important that no case goes ignored. We need to do everything that we can to make sure that every animal is in a home where not only are they cared for, but also that they are loved and given the attention they deserve.
Most of us have heard terrible horror stories of the atrocious abuse that some individuals have done to poor and helpless animals. These are truly despicable cases, and we should do everything in our power to make sure that these crimes are never allowed to happen. These cases of animal abuse may often go on in the shadows where they are not immediately visible to us. There may be a house in your very own neighborhood where an animal is being abused and you would have no way of knowing.
But what if we told you that there may very well be animals in need right in front of your very eyes? When we hear horror stories about abuse and neglect, in can be easy to forget that neglect can often be far less obvious. These poor creatures live a lonely existence, with owners just doing the minimal amount to keep them alive. They live in a sort of prison and solitary confinement. We often wonder why these owners even got a pet if they were never going to pay it any attention.
In this incredible video, a dog named Sarah has just been rescued from years of neglect and being locked up with no real contact from anyone. Rescuers are initially worried that she will have difficulty adjusting to her new life situation, but she quickly shows everyone and bounces back as she is met with the love and affection from everyone around her.
