Back in season 5 of Duck Dynasty, Willie Robertson found himself in need of an assistant. Korie’s cousin, John-David Owen, happened to find himself in need of a job at the same time.
Initially, Willi was reluctant to hire yet another family member. Though the show is primarily comprised of Robertsons and their relations, there is always some risk in hiring yet another family member. Yet, the two got along great, so Willie decided to give him a try.
Now, five seasons later, Owen is still around. Everyone calls him Johnny-D now, and he’s still working as Willie’s assistant. The two are closer than ever. You can even catch him in some of the Twitter and Instagram photos the family shares.
Johnny D Married his high school sweetheart, Alyson. The couple have a two year old son, Carter, and announced last year that they would be expecting another addition to their family soon.
In April, the couple took to Twitter and announced the arrival of a new baby boy, Benz Hardy Owen. He was healthy and happy, and the family are overjoyed with their new member.
