Spending time with friends can often be filled with mixed feelings. On the one hand, we feel that we know them well enough to be comfortable and enjoy a relaxing time, but on the other hand, we also tend to keep our guard up from time to time because we are afraid of doing something embarrassing in front of our friends. In fact, having something embarrassing happen in front of our friends is often far worse than being embarrassed in front of strangers because we know that we will see our friends again and again as time goes on while strangers are people that we may never see again. Yes, we do open up and make ourselves vulnerable to friends over time, but we would prefer for this to be a slow process that we are in control of.
We’ve all had moments where we are surrounded by friends, enjoying their company, when suddenly it hits. We feel that twinge of uncomfortable sensation. We know we need to hold it in, but its so uncomfortable. Suddenly, all hope is gone, and everyone hears it, a fart.
It’s one of the most relatable and natural experiences, but it also happens to be incredibly embarrassing.
It turns out that elephants feel exactly the same way. This elephant was playing with her friends and having a great time. Life couldn’t get better for this elephant. Suddenly, something happens, and a loud fart ensues. She looks totally embarrassed.
