This is the world famous Einstein the Talking Texan Parrot. See? One of the things that make America great is the fact that we accept immigrants that can contribute to society.
Einstein’s parents are African Grey parrots from Congo. The African Grey is considered one of the smartest, if not the smartest, parrots, so we let them into America, and the result in Einstein, who is an American born in Garland, Texas.
Einstein the Talking Texan Parrot is the most exceptional parrot in the land, living up to the billing of the other Einstein, Albert, who also immigrated to the United States. Very few parrots are capable of learning the awesome trick that Einstein shows in this video.
It is the most useful trick that a parrot can learn, and it can potentially save lives, which is what Einstein’s human daddy and mommy had in mind when they taught him how and why he should do this. They have ingrained in Einstein that this is what he must do in the unlikely but possible event of a home invasion.
At the first sign of trouble Einstein is to hide in this little drawer as shown in this clip. This drawer is always left open at their house. Einstein is to hide in the drawer until the intruder or intruders are out of sight, whereupon he would noiselessly come out of hiding and spread his powerful wings to the local police station to summon for help. The phrase “Emergency! Come with me!” is part of Einstein’s vocabulary.
