Believe it or not, there are more than just animal videos on YouTube. I know… doesn’t that just blow your mind? There are also relaxation videos that feature animals! Yes! What a HUGE distinction. Watching some of these videos can make any viewer turn into a puddle of very relaxed goo. Take this video of a very happy kitty – it should be required at all doctor’s offices before patients have their blood pressure taken.
We see what looks like a Persian breed of some kind on her back while her mommy rubs her chest and tummy. She’s quite content and is really close to falling asleep. That actually makes two of us since I got REALLY relaxed. Well, as relaxed as I could be for 20 seconds. But it did put me in a good frame of mind for the rest of the day. You should give this a try and see how it makes you feel.
This video made me jealous since my two cats won’t let me rub their bellies while they are one their backs. One of them just doesn’t like being touched anywhere but his head and will gaze at my hand with an annoyed expression if I go anywhere else. My female cat lets me rub her belly but she has to be on her side and she freaks and runs if I move too fast for her. So much for relaxing. I can watch this video, though.
The only annoying thing about this video is that it’s really only 20 seconds long. The other 21 seconds are just a screen saying, “Subscribe.” So, yeah, way to kill the relaxing vibe. I had to watch other kitten videos just to calm down. I did like when there was a little bit of slow-motion at the end… but would it have killed them to make it at least 30 seconds? Oh well, we have to take what we can get, I guess. See how relaxed I am?
