“Strong Women, Wild Horses” is an artistic piece devoted to filming horses living in the wild. This is done by a group of women photographers who have dedicated themselves to exploring some remarkable areas of the contiguous USA that are still wild.
Most of these photos come from the Great Basin, one of the last places in the USA where you can find free roaming wild horses. This in-depth work lets us see inside the world of wild horses living in true wild country.
These horses are in the center of a fierce land battle between capitalist interests and environmental policies. The area that the horses had to live in grow smaller and smaller every year as companies encroach more and more on their land. Watch this video to find out more about these wild horses plight.
