We have seen some pretty impressive performances on America’s Got Talent. This act is one of them. The judges and audience were given a very special treat.
The contestant’s name is Angelina Green. She takes the stage and looks visibly nervous. We’ve all been there. Sometimes the giggles take over when we’re nervous. This poor thing is almost hysterical and I totally empathize. This is America’s Got Talent after all and a one-shot chance for fame.
Heidi is the first judge to greet her. Heidi asks her who she is. “My name is Angelina Green and I’m 13-years-old, I just turned”. Everyone is surprised at the number of young contestants that have been auditioning this year.
She gets compliments on her smile which is very bright. Angelina has a very bubbly personality. She gets her smile and looks from her mother. Her mother is next to Tyra, very close to the stage. Her mom says she is very proud of her. Angelina says she and her mother are very close. They are like best friends. That is very nice to the judges to hear. Angelina’s mom has always been very supportive of what she does.
Heidi asks her what she will be doing for them today. Angelina answered she will be singing. She has been singing for as long as she can remember, but only took it seriously when her parents got divorced. As with all divorces, kids are the ones who end up suffering the most. Music has been an escape for her since then and a tremendous help.
The piano music starts playing. She starts singing and her voice sounds almost too good to be true. The song of her choice is The Pretenders’ “I’ll Stand By You.” After her performance, everyone is on their feet. “I really, really loved what you just did,” Heidi told Angelina when she was finished. “To me, you feel like there’s an old soul inside of that little 13-year-old body, and I really, really loved it.”
Just when everyone thought that it could not get any better, even Simon was smiling. Watch for yourself and Enjoy!
