People forget that Judy Garland was a famous actress. She had a great singing voice, too. Take this video, for example. Garland lived a hard life and she did look older than her 42 years. Financial difficulties had worn her down, too. She would only live for five more years after that, dying at the age of 47 due to an accidental overdose of prescription drugs. It was a real shame, a talent like hers dying as young as she did. It was no Amy Winehouse, but 47 is still far too early to die. Show business is a brutal business.
