Sometimes all it takes is just a little bit of love and affection to change a dog’s behavior forever. For an abused dog named Phoenix, this was undoubtedly the case.
Phoenix, who spent a large portion of his life chained up and abused, was given a chance at learning to love when Takis showed up to change his life.
The terrified Phoenix did not want to be touched at first. After multiple attempts at demonstrating love and openness, Takis convinced Phoenix that he was not a threat.
After some time, Phoenix rests his head in Takis’s hand and can’t get enough of his loving. At this point, Phoenix’s life of abuse and mistrust has changed for good.
This story shows that it’s not the animal’s fault; it’s usually mistreatment at the hands of a bad owner. Any dog can overcome aggression given the right amount of attention and affection.
Takis is indeed running a fantastic rescue shelter and changing the lives of dogs every day. The belief that any dog can be reformed is a saving grace for so many abused animals.
