The bond between mother and child is as old as time and is as strong can be, especially when the child is an infant. So when the mama dog was rescued by caring individuals working at the Marin Humane Society, they thought she would get better as she looked sickly. Most rescued dogs have been abused or have faced real hardships that make them wary of humans. So when you enter any animal rescue organization, you tend to notice that the animals all look scraggly and woebegone.
However, the mama dog didn’t seem to show any signs that she was getting better. In fact, she looked depressed and lonely. After careful examination, the rescuers found out that she had recently given birth to a litter but they were missing. The sad mommy was away from her little ones and nobody knew where the puppies were.
The rescuers decided to do some digging around and played Sherlock Holmes and guess what? They found the puppies! The person who had handed the dog to the Marin Humane Society had kept the puppies, however the rescuers managed to convince that person that the puppies desperately needed their mother to grow into healthy dogs. The person graciously surrendered the little canines so that the family could be reunited.
The video shows the wonderful and heart breaking reaction of the mother’s happiness in seeing her four babies again. If this doesn’t bring a smile to your face and a tear to your eyes, I don’t know what will! Watch her transformation from being a depressed and lonely dog into an ecstatic one when she sees her babies healthy and safe and best of all, reunited with her!!!
