There’s just something awesome about having a kitten want to spend time with you. Here you have this little furball who has just come into the world fairly recently and you can literally hold them in the palm of your hand and pet them. Yes, they will grow older and larger, and still cuddle, but having something that tiny with you just feels extra special. Take this little kitty in this video, for instance.
You can tell that this is from Japan… well, aside from the Japanese lettering in the title (duh). The breed of the cat is one that I’ve only seen in Japan – with the floppy ears. So adorable. We see the kitten walking in another room and then she notices her mommy on the floor and makes her way over. What happens next can be best be described as Cuddlefest. Both of them are so relaxed and happy.
The mommy starts stroking the kitten as she lays on her lap. This video is just three minutes of her petting a cat… and I think that it’s too short. If there were a 30-minute or even an hour version of this, I’d watch that. No lie. It’s just so soothing to view this. I could even fall asleep with this playing on loop. The next time that I go to the doctor, I’ll have this on my phone, since petting a cat can lower your blood pressure and this would be the closest thing to it.
My cats are like this too. I can’t sit on the floor for long because they think that I’m sitting there for them. I could be just trying to put socks on my son’s feet. Nope… three seconds later, I hear “MEOW” and then bump. At an old house, I’d go to the attic and the male cat would follow me to the second level of the steps. If I sat down, he’d go charging up the steps for me to start petting him. There’s just something about being at floor level that makes cats so happy. Not that I’m complaining at all.
