This holiday season we have seen a lot of different amazing adverts. Some are meant to make us laugh, and some are meant to bring back good memories of the holidays. My favorite so far was John Lewis’ “Man On The Moon.” The advertisement below, however, is on par with it! You are going to be in tears when you see this beautiful video. This exceptional commercial was recently released by a German supermarket corporation called “Edeka” and it has quickly gone viral.
This commercial is short but very powerful. Watching it is like going on an emotional roller coaster ride. It features an elderly man who is forced to spend Christmas alone because none his children manage to make it home to him. They have busy lives with their own families elsewhere and each one writes or calls to say they won’t be able to make it home for the holidays, not thinking about their dad being alone during this time. And what follows after that will surely put a tear in your eye! This old man finds a very creative way of getting his family to realize the importance of being together during the holidays.
This advert does a perfect job of reminding us the importance of family. Like they say in the commercial, “Time To Come Home”.
