Parrot Flirts With Her Boyfriend And Then She Whispers Something Hysterical Into His Ear

Parrots are beautiful and colorful birds but they’re perhaps best known for their intelligence and talkativeness. They’re experts at mimicking sounds, whether from their natural environment, radio or television programs, other animals, and most remarkably of all, human speech. Just by listening, a parrot can build up quite a vocabulary. This is complemented by the zany parrot personality. They love their humans and can be very affectionate, but at the same time they have a lot of attitude. Parrot antics can be pretty hilarious.

In the video we’ve posted below, you’ll see the parrot equivalent of going out on a date. Jojo is an Indian ringneck and she’s perched next to her boyfriend Buddy, a Quaker parrot. Jojo really has a thing for Buddy. She snuggles right up to him and turns on the affection and tenderness. She really lays on the sweetness, asking Buddy, “Whatch doin’?” and “Oh! Pretty! Gimme kiss?” Then she nuzzles her beak against her boyfriend’s neck and makes what sounds exactly like the sound of smooching! Buddy reacts by shaking and quaking. We might take this to mean he’s freaking out and trying to think of an excuse to leave, but nothing could be further from the truth. When Quaker parrots are happy or excited, this I how they show it. The shaking and quaking also gave them their name; it’s nothing to do with the bird’s religious views, which of course is a total mystery to us humans.

It’s always nice to see such charming displays of love and affection among our animal friends. With parrots, things are always fun and you can count on a few surprises. It’s pretty clear that JoJo and Buddy are a match made in parrot heaven.

How did you like this parrot date? Is Jojo’s rather direct approach the way to go? We’d love to hear from you in the comments at Facebook and don’t forget to like and share!
