I still remember watching that movie ‘Jurassic Park’. I was just a kid and had very high hopes for what promised to be the best dinosaur movie ever made. Every other dinosaur movie I had watched up to then, had not been that great. I’m talking about the old classics that had dinosaurs in them, like Godzilla. I guess the special effects were okay for the time the movie came out, but it lacked a lot of luster by today’s standards.
I went to see that movie with my brothers, and we were stoked. I’d seen a trailer and was amazed by what I had seen. A couple of kids go to this amusement park that features dinosaurs that had been brought to life by a process I could not even pronounce at the time. The idea was very feasible on paper, at least that’s what I thought. You get a couple of strands of DNA of the dinosaurs by means of a fossil or something, and you mix them up with a few strands from another animal and voila! You’ve got yourself a brand-new dinosaur.
The very first time I got to see the dinosaurs in the film, I was totally blown away by how realistic everything looked. It looked as if you could go inside the film and interact with them. Besides, they looked nothing like robots or animatronics (or pretty much anything of that sort). They were very imposing, especially the T-Rex. I think everyone in the movie theater was looking forward to seeing him in action.
When the T-Rex finally came out, he did not disappoint. Everyone was on the edge of their seats, waiting for the big scene to unfold. I came out of the movie theater excited and really looking forward to the next installment. I was pretty sure it would come out very soon but was utterly disappointed when it didn’t.
Fast-forward to 2017. There have been a lot of advances in movie technology, and a lot of movies have been favored by them. When I started hearing about the possibility that a Jurassic movie would be coming out, I was ecstatic. I mean, if the special effects were great then, I could only imagine how good they would be today.
Well, wait no more. The following is the trailer for one of the best-made movies in a long time. This movie takes off from where the other one ended. The park has been closed because the scientist and owner had not been able to control the obvious: evolution and nature. After everything that had happened, we would think no one would have the nerve to go back and see what they had left behind. No one, until now!
