What an incredible idea! Providence Mount St. Vincent is not only an elderly home, but a preschool. It is such an innovative way of bringing the old and the young together. Sadly, 43% of older adults experience social isolation which in turn can lead to depression and loneliness as well as a physical and mental decline.
By having preschoolers interact with elderly people, you not only help the elder socialize but you help develop the preschoolers’ social skills and gain appreciation for the elderly.
