This is such a touching video. It shows us the importance of having a dog in a child’s life.
I can’t count the number of times I’ve heard people say that they would much rather have a pet than a child or vice versa.
Having a dog in the home with a young baby is one of the greatest gifts you can ever give your child. When a child grows up with a dog, they learn to be compassionate, caring, and responsible. It instils life lessons that your child will never learn in a classroom.
As you can see in the following video, having a baby with a dog in the home can benefit the pup as well. Watch as this adorable, sweet beagle named Charlie learns to share his parents with his new baby sister. While some dogs tend to get jealous (just like some kids) of babies, this lovable pooch is the complete opposite.
Charlie’s owner writes: “We taught our dog how to play keyboard, how to change traffic lights and how to swing a baby crib, but we never had to teach him how to love our daughter. Thank you Charlie for [making] her smile every day.”
