Three British Soldiers Stand In A Recording Studio. I Was Blown Away By Their Efforts.

Soldiers generally have a reputation as only being talented at one thing – fighting for their country. That’s far from being true. People who have served have gone on to be entrepreneurs to being the heads of companies. They have written books. Then we have those who are musically-inclined. Like the three British soldiers that we see here in this video, gathering to treat us to a wonderful tune.

This video shows three British veterans in a recording studio, singing a song called “Coming Home.” It’s about fighting abroad and then coming home to their loved one’s arms. It’s quite moving and they harmonize very well. We also see them sitting in the control room of the studio and also outside. If they didn’t have their military commitments, they could very well have had a musical career together, they are that good.

These three soldiers are actually a group called, fittingly enough, “The Soldiers.” Their names are Ryan Idzi, Richie Maddocks, and Gary Chilton. Idzi even appeared on the British version of the “X Factor.” This song was on an album that has the same name as the track in the video. There are some other tunes – “He Ain’t Heavy, He’s My Brother”, “Stand By Me”, and “With A Little Help From My Friends.”

I admire those that can sing. My vocal skills put me in the ‘rap’ category since my singing range puts me in the “dying cat” category. Actually, dying cats would muster up enough strength to move far away from me before passing on, because who wants that to be the last sound they ever hear? It’s impressive that these three can focus on their military duties and sing. Here’s hoping they make more music.

What did you think of it? I’d definitely move them to the next round if they were on a talent show. Would you? Leave us a comment below!
