The family behind the hit reality TV show Duck Dynasty is filled with talent. Above and beyond their television appearances, the Robertson family boasts accomplished authors, marksmen, and even skilled musicians.
In fact, it seems that everyone in the Robertson family has some musical talent. Even Uncle Si! In fact, Si has recorded several Christmas songs with other members of the family, including his own version of “You’re A Mean One, Mr. Grinch.”
It should come as no surprise, then, that when Si took on Darius Rucker’s hit song “Wagon Wheel”, he knocked it out of the park. The song itself goes back to Bob Dylan, the original writer. It was later modified and released by The Old Crow Medicine Show in 2004, and finally by Darius Rucker in 2003.
Rucker’s version gained a lot of acclaim and fan following. It hit the number 1 spot on both the Billboard Country Airplay chart and the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart, as well as #15 on the Billboard Top 100 chart.
Si brings in his daughter-in-law Marsha on his rendition. The instrumentals for their performance is supplied by the North Louisiana pop and rock cover band Flashback5. Si excels, singing the main vocals in his signature twangy voice, while Marsha harmonizes with the band.
