He Walks Past A Gate And Says Hello To The Dogs. A Little One Has The Craziest Response Ever

If you go out for a stroll in your neighborhood, you might or might not encounter some colorful characters and unexpected events. You’ll almost certainly see some animals. The wild ones like squirrels, birds, and chipmunks will steer clear of you (though squirrels can be pretty shameless). You might encounter a neighborhood cat that will carefully keep its distance and stare at you with mistrustful curiosity. And of course, there will be dogs aplenty. Some are shy, a few friendly, and others, whether professional guard dogs or not, will bark aggressively and make like they’re going to jump over the fence.

And indeed, ever since humans domesticated dogs all those thousands of years ago, there have been working dogs. Canine tasks have included guarding people and places, helping with hunting, catching vermin, and dragging sleds. In more recent times, they’ve taken on jobs like sniffing for contraband, guiding the blind, and even serving as therapy dogs. Nowadays, most dogs are pets and this gives them a chance to get in touch with their naturally friendly selves, greeting people warmly with their tails wagging and maybe even a goofy smile on their faces.

The two dogs you’ll see in the video we’ve posted below are definitely the friendly kind. In fact, the smaller of the two is downright neighborly. When a passerby greets him with a hearty “hello,” he barks back in an ridiculously funny little voice and — you’ll have to hear it for yourself — it sounds like he’s also saying “Hello!”

It’s always adorable when a dog does something that seems so human. Maybe this is why people love dressing their dogs up in amusing little outfits or goofy hats.
