It’s always nice with siblings get along, able to talk through their problems and conflicts without tears or anger. What parent wants to have to intervene in fights that happen over and over and over again for years and years? Life is a whole lot easier when sibling rivalry doesn’t get out of control.
Maybe it’s because they’re twins, but Stella and Lilah seem to be particularly good at communication. Rather than fight, they approach their problems in a calm, reasonable manner. Really, this just makes these 18 month-olds even more utterly adorable! One day they decided they needed to hold a very important meeting. We can’t be entirely sure what it was about, but we think it had something to do with socks. The twins, did after all, choose to have this little conference in a laundry basket. Fortunately, when their mom walked in on them, she had her phone with her and recorded the meeting in all its cuteness.
As you’ll see, when the video starts, one of the twins is waiting patiently in the laundry basket, apparently taking care of another laundry-related issue. Before long, the other twin toddles over and they get down to business. What follows is the back-and-forth and give-and-take you’d see in any serious business negotiation. They examine the goods and weigh the costs and benefits. At times they disagree sharply but come up with reasonable compromises. All is well with the laundry. Maybe the next order of business is planning the all-important afternoon nap.
