Randy Owen has a career most musicians can only dream about. He’s been the frontman for one of country’s most loved bands, Alabama, for over 25 years, and he just keeps getting better.
Alabama first came onto the scene back in 1980, displaying a Southern rock influenced country sound that everyone loved. They’ve sold over 73 million records, have 21 gold, platinum, and multiplatinum albums, and 43 number one singles.
To make matters even better for Alabama, they’ve received some of the highest accolades from the music industry. Their star graces the Hollywood Walk of Fame, they’ve won 2 Grammy’s, and they’ve even been inducted in the Country Music Hall of Fame.
While Owen doesn’t tour as much as he used to, he does still get out there from time to time to play classic Alabama hits for his fans. He also plays music from his solo album, One on One, which he released in 2008.
These days, he prefers to spend time working on his cattle ranch, which he named Tennessee River Music. One event he never misses, though, is the Polled Hereford Breed, which supports scholarships and education for youth interested in raising Hereford cattle.
