Mammals are social animals. Almost all mammal species live as groups. One of the benefits to groups, aside from increased safety from predators, is that there are always cuddles to be had.
This love of cuddles can sometimes allow for friends ships with classical enemies. Dogs and cats can often become great friends. And it all stems from the same biological imperative to seek out cuddles.
This Rat and Cat have made friends for that very reason. Watch this video for the proof. When the rat approaches the cat I though he was done for, then he just settles in for some good cuddles.
