This White Lion And This White Tiger Just Had The Cutest Cubs On Earth

For centuries, mythical creatures have been the focus of fantastical tales that leave us all in wonder. Between dragons, mermaids, and unicorns, we continue to tell imaginative stories involving these beings, asking ourselves what it would be like if they were to live among us in the real world. While we can’t promise you an encounter with a dragon, we can show you something that’s still pretty incredible!

At T.I.G.E.R.S. Sanctuary in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, Dr. Bhagvan Antle allowed a white tiger, Ivory, to breed with a white lion, Saraswati, resulting in the four most adorable liger cubs you’ve ever seen. Though it’s uncommon for tigers and lions to breed with one another in the wild, it does happen now and then. Yeti, Odlin, Sampson, and Apolo are a unique bunch of cubs, combining the beauty of two extremely rare types of animals! There are only 300 white lions and 1,200 white tigers left in the world, making it likely that these cubs are the only white liger cubs to have ever been born.

Ligers are rarely found outside of captivity and they typically love swimming, like tigers, and are extremely social animals. These little ligers aren’t going to be small cubs forever, though; each cub is expected to grow as tall as 10 feet by the time they’re two years old and reach up to 750 pounds! It’s no surprise, though, when you consider that the cubs’ uncle, a white tiger named Hercules, is the largest living cat on the planet!

The cubs have a while before they grow into huge, ferocious beasts. In the meantime, watch them roll around and play with one another as little cubs! These unique animals sure are adorable. Share this video with your fellow cat-lovers and leave your thoughts in the comments
