Young Girl Pays Tribute To Her Late Great-Grandmother. I Didn’t Expect THIS To Happen.

It’s always hard to lose a family member, no matter what age you are. It’s the toughest when you’re young, though. I was four when one of my grandfathers died. I didn’t understand what was going on at the time and why my father was so upset. Death is a subject that’s very hard to understand at that age. Although the girl in this video was a little older when her great-grandmother passed away, it still was a tough loss. How she handled it was beautiful

Bella was eight when this happened. She decided to honor her relative, with whom she was very close, by sending up a balloon with a note for her “Maw-Maw” as she called her. It was a cathartic thing for both her and her mother. Four months came and went and then all of sudden a package arrived for her. She opened it and found the balloon and a locket. That wasn’t the most amazing thing, though.

There was a note in the package and it said, “Your Maw-Maw is always in your heart. Close your eyes and you’ll see her.” This made Bella go out to the driveway and cry for 10 minutes. What REALLY is amazing is that Bella and her mother live in a very rural part of their state. The chances of ANYBODY finding the balloon was remote. They had included their address on the back, just in case, but for anyone to take the time to do this anonymously is an amazing person.

I always love these videos where we see the best side of humanity. Just people being kind to each other. That’s what makes me smile. Someone taking the time out of their day to do this for a grieving girl… that’s a special person, indeed. We should all take a page out of this person’s book. The world would be a much better place, indeed. I wonder what would happen I more people released balloons like this.

Wow. I choked up when I watched this video. How about you? Did you find yourself dabbing your eyes with a tissue? Please tell us your thoughts in the comments section below!
