12 Dancers Take Over An Oceanside Boardwalk With Incredibly Moving Routine

Dance is an incredibly inspiring and expressive art-form, where dancers use their bodies to paint a picture without words. When twelve dancers take over a boardwalk by the ocean, the resulting performance is both incredibly peaceful and provoking.

A seaside setting seems like the perfect place for interpretive dance – you have the calming rush of the ocean, the sand shifting beneath your feet, and the crisp clean waves unfurling in the distance. It’s no wonder that Bonnie Su decided to use this scene as a backdrop for her 2016 video.

Set to Liv Dawson’s harmony stacked debut single “Tapestry,” the resulting scene is a breathtaking take on the meaning of friendship and the people who pass in and out of our lives. As Bonnie puts it in the video description, the people in her life will always be a part of her “tapestry.”

It’s clear that Su conveyed the message of the song – with the matte sky devoid of clouds and the neutral color scheme, it almost looks like the 12 dancers could be a scene stitched onto their very own tapestry, each dancer moving in and out of their space much like the people in our own lives come and go.
