The 1970s was an incredible decade with great toys, unforgettable games, excellent movies, music bands, and numerous inventions. Recently, one snippet showcasing the things people still miss about that era garnered a lot of online followers.

You might remember that instant color photography became prominent in the 1970s. The Polaroid one-step land camera became the decade’s largest-selling instant camera, which Polaroid called the world’s simplest camera for $40.

This was the same decade when “Ideal Toys” introduced their Evel Knievel Cycles in the year 1973, which coincided with Evil Knievel making 13 lucky jumps on his Harley. It also included an epic leap over 13 vans in starting the year. Toys and merchandise were a craze during that era. It was one of the most popular toys of the decade.

The Oldsmobile Cutlass, produced by General Motors, became a handsome but affordable car, becoming North America’s top-selling car of that decade. This timeless classic became one of the stunning cars with a powerful engine and a roomy interior.

The 1970s was the era for disco, jazz, and soul music. However, rock music remained important in western music during this era. One of the famous English rock bands, Pink Floyd, created their studio album, “Dark Side of The Moon,” in 1973. The album had several hits such as “Money” & “Time,” which made the band one of the iconic rock bands.

The home video game Pong, sold through the sears catalog, kicked off the video gaming era. Atari soon presented an idea of connecting the game to the home TV, which was approved by Sears making it one of the hottest things during the Holiday Season. Even UNO hit the market during this era selling 15 million copies.

Starting from digital watches for $10 to the joystick game Atari 2600, there was no stopping when it came to inventing new toys and games for the younger generation. First, however, Star Wars toys and household products, such as Dust Buster, became a huge sensation during the 1970s.
