This clip shows a musical duo called The Moron Brothers that is just going to crack you up. These two men have an unusual way of showing and sharing their holiday spirit with the world through their unusual lyrics to their own Christmas music. They are American Bluegrass artists, and there’s a definite twinge of Bluegrass in this song as well. Their sense of humor is truly a joy to listen to! You will laugh till you cry when you hear this duet!
In this clip, they sing a hilarious song explaining why Santa will not be visiting their house ever again! One bad experience was all it took to keep Santa away forever! One has banjo and sings, and the other plays a guitar, and as they play, they explain that they gave Santa a special and unintentional gift when he and his reindeer came to drop off the gifts. Whether they are naughty or nice doesn’t matter, they scared Santa away forever! Wait till you hear this!
I am from Kentucky originally, where these men are also from, but I have to confess, I have never heard a Christmas song like this, even out in the boonies of Kentucky! I have also never had the pleasure of meeting The Moron Brothers. They sure do know how to play a banjo, and write some funny lyrics. He says Santa got tired and laid down on the couch, and then he jumped up and ran out and started to scratch! Why? Lice!
Poor Santa won’t come back to their house again! I bet he never takes a rest on someone’s couch again either! He had to shave off all of his hair and his beard! I wonder what Mrs. Claus thought of that? I don’t know how these two men can get through the whole song with a straight face.
