Arnia was one of the four dogs rescued from a garage yard by the “Howl of a Dog” animal rescue organization. They are a small nonprofit animal rescue organization located in Romania.
Arnia and several other dogs lived in the yard of a rundown garage. It was a sunny but cold December, and the warmest “bed” for them was the pile of tiles. Alma, Anuka, and Arnia slept on the tiles quietly.
The volunteer moved a bit closer and tried to pet Arnia. She was scared and looked malnourished. But Arnia‘s name meant “strong as an eagle”; that was how this sweet, brave little dog turned out to be.
The poor dog had a heart-breaking condition. She was severely anemic, dehydrated, and underweight. Arnia was so exhausted all the time that she always wanted to sleep. Arnia weighed only 6 kgs (13 lbs.), half the average weight for a dog her size.
However, with constant care and proper nutrition at the shelter, Arnia transformed into a beautiful and happy dog. Arnia was around 2-3 years old, but she still thought she was a little puppy and acted accordingly.
She loved to play with her dog toys and found joy and fun even in the most ordinary things. Arnia was happy even if the volunteers took her to the vet for regular checkups.
On her first walk to the park, she was a little shy because the environment was entirely new for her. However, the intelligent dog had now learned to understand human commands. With the soul of a puppy, the dog loved to jump and hop around happily. Arnia was recently adopted by a loving family in Germany.
