Spud was a bull but behaved like a big dog. He always loved to play with a ball. The playful bull loved pressure on his head. So, Spud would continue to push at it whenever he played with his ball until it covered his head or until the ball popped on his face.
Spud’s heart would break every time the ball popped. Nonetheless, he did it all the time. Finally, Laura, the bull’s mom, brought him a green-colored jolly ball, which was his first ball. The bull instantly started to play with it as if he was playing soccer.
Soon Laura lost count of how many balls they had lost. However, she tried to recollect that there were at least 3 jolly balls, 4 stability balls, and a few kid balls. Even one of her friends asked if they could give Spud one of their balls. Thankfully, this was the only ball that survived for a week.
Laura met Spud when she was a senior in college. She was recruited to play soccer. This was when she had to take a course where she could raise an animal. Laura went to the teacher and requested to get a bull that had a future. A week before Laura’s graduation, her teacher called her and told her that Spud wouldn’t have that future anymore.
Laura was not ready to take “no” for an answer. The teacher asked her if she could take Spud home with her to Illinois. Laura immediately agreed to it after she discussed it with her parents. The biggest thing Laura’s teacher told her was that she had to get him to know her. Soon, Laura became Spud’s “Moo-m.”
The favorite part of having Spud around was when he was not awake, and she called out to him. Then, the adorable bull would get up and peek his head out of his barn as if he was greeting her, “Good Morning.” Recently, Laura got a massive ball for Spud to play, and the reaction the bull gave was hilarious. The happy and goofy bull loved the ball.
Laura had Spud for around 6 years. Every year Laura and Spud would take their birthday picture together. Recently, Spud celebrated his 6th birthday with a giant grain ball. Spud had taught Laura that there’s so much more to animals and even people. It was alright if you were not what you were supposed to be. Spud was supposed to be an aggressive animal, but instead, he had shown Laura how to love and have fun together. The bull “moo-m” wanted Spud to enjoy life to the fullest.
