7-year-old pianist performs Chopin’s ‘Nocturne’ with skill and emotion beyond his years

Elisey Mysin is a child prodigy who needs an extension to reach the foot pedal of a piano, but that doesn’t stop him from playing like any other world-class musician.

Born in the city of Stavropol, he started to learn the piano when he was only 4 years old. When he was 7, he appeared on a Russian TV show where he played Frédéric Chopin’s ‘Nocturne.’

Mysin wore a yellow suit with a pink flower in the left breast pocket. He played with the passion and skill that was beyond his years. The judges watched him in complete awe of his talent.

Chopin’s pieces are known to be demanding and challenging, even for the most seasoned musicians. Mysin played effortlessly even if he had to reach further than most pianists.

Beautiful music filled the air, and with every press of the key, Mysin proved that he was one of a kind. There was a maturity within him that was revealed as he played the piano. The entire performance was moving.

Many people and experts have commended him for projecting deep emotion in his performances and not simply playing the notes shown to him.

It is astounding for one so young to be both technical and emotional. Currently, he is studying at the Moscow Conservatory under his teacher Natalia Trull. There is no doubt that Elisey Mysin has a bright future ahead of him.
