80 Giddy Guinea Pigs Roam Free in Nature's Playground

"BIJ MONIQUE," Monique's coaching practice, is a special place where children can learn and grow in a natural setting. With the help of various farm animals, Monique provides a fun and unique coaching experience that focuses on the needs of each child. Recently, they shared a video clip about the adorable guinea pigs in their garden.

Monique's garden in Terwolde, Netherlands, is home to 80 guinea pigs living freely outdoors all year round. Every morning, these adorable creatures start their day with a small serving of chicken food after leaving the safety of their night-time habitat.

After their breakfast, the guinea pigs are free to roam around Monique's garden without any hindrance. The sanctuary has no fences, allowing these adorable creatures to explore as far as they want. Monique's guinea pigs are also not the only ones living in the garden.

Monique's garden is also home to other farm animals, including pigs, cows, and goats. Despite the presence of familiar faces, the guinea pigs are always alert. They prefer to graze near the bush, keeping an eye on their surroundings.

For these careful little beings, the birds in the garden are their natural alarm system. In this video clip, Finch and Turkey sound the alarm, followed by a Robin, that warns the animals of the danger in the sky. When the birds sound the alarm, the guinea pigs in the sanctuary quickly scamper to hide and find cover.

During the spring and summer months, the green grass in the garden grows up to three feet high, providing perfect cover for these clever creatures to make long tunnels. This allows them to move around the garden quickly and stealthily to eat without being noticed, even with people around.

As the sun sets, the guinea pigs in the garden become aware that their mealtime is approaching. So they line up and swiftly make their way back to their cozy home, ready to eat their meal and rest peacefully for the night.
