We’ve all had them – ever since we were in our teenage years, with adolescence breaking out all over the place, we’ve been plagued with unsightly pimples. For some of us, we can get it really bad, and it causes us to cower away from social situations – in many cases ruining people’s young lives if they have particularly bad acne or prone to blackhead breakouts. Still, we at least hope that one day we can grow out of them and never be subjected to them again.
Sometimes though, it doesn’t matter what age you are – you’re still going to get those pesky things on your skin! But what happened to this grandma is really crazy. The 85-year-old woman complained to her daughter that the black mole on her back was giving her some problems and starting to cause her pain after all these years. Well, you can never tell with moles as they carry a risk of skin cancer, so they did the right thing visiting Dr Sandra Lee, Aka – “Dr Pimple Popper.”
Dr Lee has amassed around 3 million subscribers on her YouTube channel alone and began offering discounted or free treatment to patients if they agree to her using footage of their appointments. Such was the popularity of people around the world wanting to watch pimples being popped – and this one is no exception! We humans get a strange satisfaction with cleaning something out from somewhere. Like dirt under your fingernails, dust in your cell phone, muck under a keyboard or hair from a blocked plug hole. Which kind of explains why so many people have watched this video!
The “mole” actually turned out to be a huge blackhead, known as a dilated pore of winer. Dr Lee uses some anaesthetic to numb the area and then extracts the enormous blackhead. Now don’t wrinkle your faces up in disgust – it’s incredibly satisfying to watch! Dr Lee explains the prognosis:
“We plan to see her again in the near future, and if she doesn’t like the appearance, or if it tends to fill again, we can excise the enlarged pore, and place a couple stitches, so that she replaces the “hole” with a fine line scar,”
