An 89-year-old pizza delivery man was treated with kindness and generosity when he received a total of $12,000 from strangers. The man’s name is Derlin Newey.
Derlin had been working for Papa John’s for quite a while, and he was the favorite delivery guy for Carlos Valdez and his wife. Thanks to Carlos, Derlin became “TikTok famous” because he took videos of his deliveries.
Carlos knew Derlin very well at this point after receiving so many pizzas from him. They ask for him whenever they order from Papa John’s. Some of Carlos’ followers asked why a senior was delivering pizzas.
Many people felt sad for him because he was working through his retirement. Carlos then got the idea to ask for donations to help out Derlin.
