Have you heard of the expression that dogs behave like little children? And this is not a derogatory expression in any way, I can assure you. I realize that it’s the reason that they are sent to our lives, to make them happier. To remind us of the simple things in life that bring us the most joy. Do you remember what it was like to be a kid? I sure do.
It was a time of not having a care in the world. I would play with my friends all afternoon and we didn’t worry about the things people worry about today. The words “crisis,” “job loss,” or stuff like that were not even in our vocabulary. Our parents would start working in a company and stayed there for many years. Today, people are lucky if they are working in the same company after five years.
And as kids, all we cared about was playing. We were not in a hurry to grow up, but we always wondered what it would be to grow older. To get all that responsibility. It was something that we actually looked forward to. But that doesn’t mean we didn’t enjoy being kids. One of my favorite things to do growing up was playing on the swings.
Fortunately, we didn’t have Internet back then, so all our fails were not recorded for everyone to see. I remember I had plenty of those, especially on the swings. I remember we used to have little competitions to see who could do the craziest things in them. Of course, the most important thing would be the dismount. We would wait to be at the highest point and then we would jump off.
If I told you I never faceplanted, I would be lying. I think I was sort of the ‘faceplant king’ back then. But that doesn’t mean I didn’t get any better. In fact, I kind of became one of the best ones there. We did a lot of crazy things, but we did have a ton of fun. Just like the guy in the following video. He decided to spend a quiet afternoon in the park and took his dog with him.
But as soon as the dog saw the swing, he wanted to play in it. His human pal went to get him and see if there was a way he could fit him in. After about three tries, he succeeded. For everyone there, seeing a pup playing in a swing was the highlight of the day. But the funniest thing would come later. Wait until you see the pup’s reaction to playing there!
