A vintage image shows a puppet character and a Creamsicle vending machine with a 10¢ price tag.

Taking a trip back to the past has never been easier. The 1950s and 1960s are arguably the two most influential decades for the US. This video shows some of the most memorable things from these times.

Howdy Doody the puppet show was a massive hit. Cliff Richard became a huge star. Images are shown of Creasimle, old devices, the interior of a classic car, an old doll, and a vending machine.

A poster appears of The Graduate directed by Mike Nichols, starring Dustin Hoffman. More famous images appear: Lynda Carter as Wonderwoman, Star Trek, The Temptations, and Startrek.

There were roller skating rinks, the slinky, Silly Putty, Sen-sen, Pik-up sticks, a film projector, and an old payphone booth. The Addams Family also came out in the 60s.

Some will remember the McDonalds opening for the first time. Other notable objects were the jukebox, Ipana toothpaste, Honda motorbikes, Fizzies tablets, and Converse shoes.

The Catcher in the Rye was first published. Eddie Feigner was famous, as well as The Beatles and Elvis Presley. Muhamad Ali’s world-famous picture, standing over Sonny Liston, was captured during the 60s.

While not all will agree that the 1950s and 1960s were the best decades, it is hard to argue that they weren’t incredibly momentous times that brought many things still talked about today.
