A Young Lady Shakes the Stage With a Powerful Celine Dion Rendition

A woman in a black dress sings passionately into a microphone on stage.

Sydney native Sabrina Batson is one of the contestants of the Voice Australia. This young woman pushed her limits and was brave enough to perform a Celine Dion Classic for her first audition.

Without a doubt, pulling off a Celine Dion is hard. In her time, she rocked breathtaking heartfelt ballads effortlessly. Her powerful voice and range are impossible to not recognize. Her famous song for the titanic, "My heart will Go on," is arguably one of her best.

Anyone would think twice before performing a Celine Classic. Most times, you think you got the hang of it until someone else is listening. Not many people have the superpower to sound as they do in their heads. For her songs, you either get it, or you don't. But Sabrina got it.

Sabrina performs "The Power of My Love" for her first audition, from Celine's "The Colour of My Love." This is by no means easy to pull off. But this bold young lady picked it anyway.

The 29-year-old graces the stage in her lengthy dark dress. She possesses her space, and you can almost see her firing herself to start. She clenched tightly to the mic, and not long after, she began to sing.

With her eyes tightly shut, she eases her way into her rendition of the ballad. Her tone is soft and emotional, easy to flow along with. Even with their backs turned, the judges are impressed.

One of the judges, Ricky Martin, is won over and is the first to turn around. Just as he does, Sabrina launches into a full-blown range, going edge to edge with Celine's spice. She adds her own spice by harmonizing, and this brings a whole new vibe to the song. She totally owns it, and in no time, all four judges turned around.
