Abandoned Furbaby Found in a Sink Decides That a Stuffed Bunny Is His Mom

Two adorable baby weasels, one in green grass and the other nestled in soft white fur, both looking curious and cute.

Flex was barely a thumb's length when he was found in the sink. A volunteer who adopts baby animals was alerted by her friend. Let's call her Diane. When she got to the scene, she picked up baby flex and embraced him.

Flex was barely a week old when Diane adopted him. He was a very tiny baby weasel born prematurely. Diane believes something terrible must have happened to his mother. A baby weasel in a sink isn't an everyday occurrence.

Diane finally takes this weasel to his new home. Being an orphan, she didn't want him to feel lonely. So, in his little space, she puts a stuffed animal. It didn't take long for the stuffed rabbit to grow on Flex.

A curious weasel with light fur and whiskers is perched on a tree branch, gazing upward.

Flex did everything with his new companion. He ate with it, played and cuddled with it. It was almost like he saw it as its mother. The undeniable connection flex had with it was adorable.

Flex getting older didn't swindle his connection with his bunny. Diane started taking him outside to get familiar with his natural habitat. This was important for this weasel because it can't cheat nature. So, rather than him being vulnerable, Diane saw him through it.

Little by little, Flex's natural instincts began to kick in. Diane recalls how he was so scared to explore during the early days of his soft release. He began to hunt for prey, navigate through the bushes, and slowly got more confident.

In no time, Flex began to Kong for the wild. Still being motherly, Diane gets a cage for him in the forests. Where he could use it as habitat before leaving finally. He began to customize his cage to suit his interests and fend for his food. Almost like a wild teenager let loose. He's still under Diane's watch, but he garners more reasons to be fully responsible daily.
