Abbott & Costello’s “Two Tens for a Five” Skit Leaves Audience Roaring With Laughter

There aren’t many comedian duos that can stick with us through the decades, but if one did, it was Abbott and Costello. These two buddies could get just about everyone laughing with their quick wit and sly jokes.

Bud Abbott and Lou Costello worked on radio, filk, and television, and their self-titled T.V. show was by far the most popular. One of their fans favorite classic scenes is a skit called “Two Tens for a Five.”

Lou decided to sneakily ask his friend if he has two ten-dollar bills in exchange for one five. You can see the dumbfounded look on Bud’s face when he realizes that his friend just pulled a fast one on him, and the audience can’t control their laughter.

Lou is able to pull off the joke one more time until Bud ends up joking himself. This clip never gets old and is a great way to put a smile on your face. While there are still incredible comedians to listen to today, none are comparable to these two legends.
