Something funny happened when Jamie Traynor from The Rhino Orphanage adopted a baby rhino. Jamie’s cat adopted the rhino too! And their relationship is one of the cutest things ever.
When the rhino, named Jamila, was first brought to the orphanage, she was blindfolded and her ears were plugged to keep her calm. But she had no clue what was going on.
To comfort her, Jamie spent as much time with Jamila as she possibly could, and over time, her cat, Mewie, started to join them.

Mewie began to spend all her time with the baby rhino, even going on walks with them out in the bush. Mewie started to sleep in the same room as Jamila and they quickly became best friends.
On her reaction to their relationship, Jamie said, “I think Jamila really liked the company, they were very cute together. To see a cat and a rhino together, I nearly died.”
In the video, Jamie talks about how her rhinos develop personalities of their own. They like to run around outside, roll around in mud wallows and belly rubs from their handlers.
She demonstrates how when she sits down on the ground, Jamila will position herself such that when she sits, her head will fall directly into Jamie’s lap.
