Most people enjoy rollerblading during their youth. It’s a great way to get exercise, spend time outdoors, and learn a new skill. When a young girl took to the floor for a competition, she shows us it’s a bit more than a casual summer hobby.
Sofia Bogdanova shocked the audience and judges during the Shanghai Slalom Open in 2017. She takes her place as the music begins to play, and before you know it, she’s twirling around in circles on just one wheel.
Bogdanova continues to perform a unique and complex slalom routine. Twisting and gliding her way through narrow cones, it’s not hard to tell that Sofia has put in plenty of practice. This is one of those routines that’s hard to look away from.
At one point, the young athlete hovered above the ground by lowering her body while balancing on one rollerblade. With jaw-dropping moves like that, it’s obvious why she took the first place spot. The video of her performance has gained nearly 40 million views and counting.
