As much as we would like to think that trapeze acts are safe, there’s always an element of danger. Real danger. We’re talking life-and-death. Luckily, Someone “up there” was watching out for this husband and wife team when things went horribly wrong.
Nothing could be further from the truth on Tuesday’s episode of “America’s Got Talent” where a legally-blind acrobat and his wife experienced an abrupt end to their death-defying performance.
Meet Mary and her husband, Tyce. Though Tyce looks incredibly healthy, looks can be deceiving. He suffers from a progressively degenerative disease that will eventually rob him of all of his sights.
Even now, things are blurry for Tyce, but that hasn’t stopped him from helping his wife fulfill their dreams as you’ll soon see in the video below where they risk life and limb.
The act starts off as usual, yet we are still on the edge of our seats. As it progresses, we begin to detect something isn’t quite right, and during a critical moment — well, you have to watch the video to find out.
Personally speaking, I was enthralled by their performance and relieved that Mary was ok. She took it like a champ. Many fans felt they should have a chance to try again. Knowing AGT’s penchant for “twists”, I think we can count on seeing them again.
Watch the video below and then pass it along to a friend on your Facebook feed who might have missed Tuesday’s episode. This is one for the record books and they are a beautiful, wonderful couple. I can’t wait to see them again. Call me an optimist, but I think we will.
