23 years ago country music star Alan Jackson took the world by storm. Over the decades he went from being the new kid on the block to being one of country’s biggest players. And through all that work and fame there has been one special constant in his life, his wife Denise.
Well before Alan ever turned his eye to country music, his gaze was caught by the lovely Denise Jackson. They even shared the same last name! The two met in high school, and have been together ever since, marrying in 1979.
Along with being a constant source of support, Denise was also the person who helped Ala start his career in music. She was working as a flight attendant, and approached country star Glen Campbell in an airport to speak to him about Alan.
Apparently, she spoke highly enough of her husband’s talents to catch Campbell’s attention, and it wasn’t long until the star stepped in to give Alan the boost he needed. As Alan’s career took off, so did his family life.
In 1990 the couple had their first daughter, Mattie. Second daughter Ali was born in 1993, and their third was born in 1997. Then, in 2004, Denise was featured in the music video for “Remember When”, a song Alan wrote reflecting on his life with Denise.
