Ya’ll Gotta Hear Alan Jackson Sing ‘Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas’ Like Only He Can

Alan Jackson - Christmas“Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas” is a classic that has been performed by many famous artists and everyday folk every Christmas season.

The song had its debut in 1944 with Judy Garland singing the lyrics in the film ‘Meet Me in St. Louis’. (Luckily I was able to find her stunning performance and I’ve included it down below, after Allan’s video performance. It is a treat not to be missed.)

Alan Jackson - ChristmasInitially, the songwriter had penned some sober lyrics, but over the years he changed the lines to more uplifting messages.

This version, sung by Alan Jackson is an extraordinary version of the type that country music fans adore.

Jackson featured this old time Christmas song on the 2017 CMA Country Christmas, hosted by Reba McEntire. When he was finished the audience beamed their approval of his version.

But “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas” was not the only song Jackson sang, he also performed “There’s A New Kid In Town” with Chris Young.

Look for the CMA Country Christmas special this season to catch all of the latest country stars presenting their versions of seasonal fare.
