Andrea Bocelli was born on September 22nd, 1958, in Italy. He is known as one of the best Italian tenors because of his unique blending of opera and pop music. Recently Andrea gave a majestic performance on stage on Puccini: Turandot / Act 3 - Nessun dorma.
"Concerto: One Night in Central Park" was held at Central Park in New York. It was the 10th-anniversary celebration that featured "Nessun dorma" an aria from Giacomo Puccini's opera Turandot.
Bocelli began his piano training at a very early age and later even learned how to play flute and saxophone. However, he suffered from glaucoma from a very young age, which later resulted in losing eyesight entirely at the age of 12 because of an accident at a soccer match.

This led him to change his attention from singing to studying law. He went to the University of Pisa. However, Bocelli could never leave singing. He would take a job as a singer at piano bars and nightclubs. This also helped in obtaining finances for his law school.
Bocelli's fate changed in 1992 when Italian pop star Zucchero Fornaciari asked him to record a demo song of "Miserere." Zucchero intended to record this song and make Luciano Pavarotti listen to the song.
Pavorotti is a renowned vocalist. So, when he heard Bocelli sing, he was pretty impressed and asked him to record his album "Il mare calmo della sera" in 1994. The following year he sang the song "Time to Say Goodbye" with Sarah Brightman, which was a super hit. Thus, Bocelli's fame rose in both Europe and America.
“Concerto: One Night in Central Park" was a great success as a vast crowd gathered to see Bocelli sing the piece. People gathered at the venue even when it was raining. People were lost in his beautiful and deep voice. At the end of the performance, they were cheering and clapping for Bocelli.
