The Dropkick Murphys were created in Quincy, Massachusetts in 1996, and they have a band with a decidedly Irish tone. This video features a hilarious holiday song from this American Celtic punk band that is really not what you would expect during the holiday season. It might just make you very grateful for your own family during the holiday season. It comes from their album “Singed and Sealed in Blood” which was released in 2012. This song is called “The Season’s Upon Us” and it has one of the most hilarious music videos you’ll ever see. While it is quite unusual, it is also creative and very likely to put you in the holiday spirit.
Most of us can relate to this song when the holiday season comes around, especially those of us that have families as dysfunctional as the one shown in the video. We just can’t avoid it, can we? Actually, it is fun to have such madness once in a year! Time to embrace your awkward family and your weird uncle!
There’s everything from drunken mayhem to mistletoe to all around Tom foolery in this clip that you won’t want to miss. At one point, the band member even receives a wonderfully wrapped box of, well, I can’t say since this is a family video, from his nephew and the song just gets funnier from there.
