Out on the Serengeti, a group of baboons is stuck on a tree as the flood continues to rise beneath them. The recent storm brought the water, and the landscape is drenched.
Their leader Bakari was faced with a difficult task to lead them all to safety. There are baboons standing on the long branches while others climb to the top of the tree.
Many of them are worried and frustrated. There doesn’t seem to be a way out. Bakari remains calm and looks around for possible options. Apparently, he is a good and unpredictable leader.

Bakari climbs to the end of a branch that is pointing towards some land that is still above the water. He risks himself by jumping as far as he can and quickly swimming to the grass.
He has proven it is safe, but it is not an easy leap. All the baboons will have to swim a short distance. The one to make the jump after him is the ruling female, with their baby holding onto her tightly.
She makes the jump safely and joins Bakari. Their adopted son leaps next, but he is still small and his legs only get him so far. He has to swim the rest of the way.
Thankfully he makes it without any issues. The rest of the baboons follow suit. They line up across the branch and make their way down one by one.
