Baby Deer Was Only Child Until Baby Bunny Joined Her

A fawn and a rabbit rest together on hay in a wooden enclosure.

A fawn named Nellie is tugging heartstrings across the internet thanks to a video of her blossoming friendship with an adorable little baby bunny. Nellie was adopted at an unusually young age and couldn't assimilate with the other fawns that were a little older.

So her humans brought in a bunny she named "Polly." Polly is the sweet, adorable bunny we see in this video. Nellie and Polly will later go on to make one the best odd-couple friendship we have ever seen.

Polly was just 5 weeks old when Nellie started licking her so aggressively, to the extent that her owner thought she was hurting her. But she wasn't hurting her at all; instead, Nellie showed her care and affection for Polly.

By showing her so much love, affection, and care, Nellie played the mother role in Polly's life, even with Polly being so tiny and just a couple of weeks old. Polly's owner has tried all her best to get Nellie to eat grains, but Nellie always refuses to. But as soon as Polly starts eating grains, Nellie joins in because she sees Polly eating grains.

As the video goes on, we see how Nellie gets so playful around Polly, as we see her jumping all the time. Her owner explained it as " Nellie jumped more than she ran." We all knew that Nellie loved being around Polly, so she probably learned the jumping aspect from her BFF, Polly.

The video has gained a lot of traction on YouTube thanks to this odd couple pairing. One viewer summed it up best when he commented, "These two are sweet and lovely together, but I hope Polly has a rabbit friend, and she doesn't have to be alone when Nellie leaves."

Hopefully, Nellie and Polly will get all the love and affection they deserve in the future, thanks to the efforts of the folks who brought them together.
